SPLS also hosts meetings focusing on case breakdowns (how to understand the issue and core components of a case), speaker events with a wide variety of lawyers and judges, and law school admissions officers. Past speakers have included the Judge John B. Owens who serves as a circuit judge of the United States Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals, [2nd], and [3rd].
SPLS organizes law school tours as well, covering transportation, food, and the tour. Past examples include USC Gould School of Law, UCLA School of Law, and Loyola Law. In collaboration with the Career Planning and Resources Office, SPLS provides members the opportunity to attend the Los Angeles Law School Admissions Council Forum each fall.
